Neurologists list a ramp more often than rehabilitation centers do

People often see a neurologist with a cane or after a stroke. Neurologists also do better here than the rehabilitation center down the street. An accessibility feature (a ramp, an accessible entrance, an accessible restroom or parking) is listed by 55% of neurology offices against 35% of rehabilitation centers. At least one of these features turned up at 695 of 1,274 active neurology offices and centers in Kazakhstan

What this means for you

  1. An empty accessibility field does not mean there is no ramp. It means nobody wrote about it. Call and ask
  2. Four offices in ten do diagnostics on site. If you need an ultrasound or an ECG in one visit, ask ahead of time
  3. Seven in ten work on weekends, and one in nine sees patients after nine in the evening

What this means for an owner

55% of your colleagues list accessibility. Suppose you have a ramp and a step-free entrance, but the listing says nothing. A person with a cane or a wheelchair picks someone else. They will not call to ask

If you do ultrasound or ECG on site, give it its own line. A minority of offices work this way, and for the patient it saves a visit

Where the numbers come from

The open 2GIS directory, August 2026. We took active businesses that list neurology among their categories: 1,274 listings. We counted a mention of a ramp, an accessible entrance, an accessible restroom or parking for people with disabilities as an accessibility feature. Shares by specialty are shown where there are at least three hundred businesses
