A visitor from another city on a Sunday evening will easily find a place for a haircut: 98.5% of barbershops take clients on a day off, and two thirds work until 21:00 or later. But at eight in the morning before a flight, looking for a haircut is almost pointless: only 166 of 1,310 barbershops open before nine. Nine in ten work until eight in the evening or later. Choosing a barbershop by evening hours makes no sense: almost all of them fit on this measure

1,216 businesses work all seven days a week, which is 92.8%. A day off at a barbershop has become so rare that you no longer need to ask about it when booking
At this time of day there are almost no businesses. Before nine in the morning 166 barbershops are open across the whole country. In this sample it is the only hour where the choice really narrows, and the only reason to check the schedule before you head out
Who this matters for: shift workers, people leaving on a business trip by a morning flight, and everyone whose workday starts at nine. In the evening you will get in almost anywhere, in the morning you will not
Opening at eight makes sense where there are business centers and train stations nearby. Competition at this hour is seven times lower than in the evening, and the next door is most likely closed at that time
Second: since the evening is the same for everyone, in the evening people choose you by whether you answered the message and whether you have a free slot today. Working hours decide nothing here, speed of reply does
