Of the country's 1,156 clubs, 517 stated a monthly price and 438 an annual one. In Astana a gym membership costs 27,990 tenge a month, in Shymkent 13,000

Half the market falls into a corridor from 12 to 29 thousand. There are listings both cheaper and more expensive than these limits, but don't go by them: a single price of a quarter of a million does not describe the market, it distorts it

Astana is 2.2 times more expensive than Shymkent. No other service we counted has a gap like this: in our table, a men's haircut differs 1.75 times between the most expensive and the cheapest city
No, but almost always. 337 clubs declared both prices at once, monthly and annual. At 268 of them, which is 80%, the year comes out cheaper than twelve months paid separately. The median saving is 27%
For every fifth club the year is no better than paying monthly. Before paying a year ahead, do the math yourself: habit lets you down here
Yes, almost everywhere. 861 clubs declared single visits, which is 74%. You can go once and look at the gym almost anywhere, and you don't need a membership for the first visit
A personal trainer is available at 54% of clubs, and stretching at 54% too. 61% of clubs work on Sunday. The average rating of fitness clubs is 4.74, higher than the directory average of 4.57
Fewer than half of clubs state a price: 517 monthly ones out of 1,156. In a category where the gap between cities is twofold, a person who finds no number in the listing simply closes the tab and goes to look at the next one
And separately about the annual one: if yours is no cheaper than twelve monthly ones, no one will buy it after the first calculator check. Check your own ratio: for 80% of the market the year is a better deal
The open 2GIS directory, August 2026. There are 1,156 active fitness clubs in Kazakhstan, and services are listed for 1,137. Prices come from declared services of the type "monthly membership from N tenge" and "annual membership from N tenge"; for a club with several such lines, the lowest was taken. 517 clubs declared a monthly price, 438 an annual one, 337 both at once.
