4,021 of 40,896 businesses list home visits, one in ten. But by category the difference is more than twofold: 31% of ultrasound businesses make home visits, and 14% of hair salons and makeup artists

Which specialists make home visits most often?

Visiting medicine and massage are at the top of the table, beauty at the bottom. Our data does not show why: the directory says who makes visits and says nothing about the reasons

Hairdressers and makeup artists are at the bottom of the list, although in our table there are more of them than all the other categories together. In absolute numbers, 771 hairdressers make home visits, more than ultrasound, pediatricians, and IV drips combined

In which cities are home visits ordered more often?

The spread between cities is small, from 6% to 12%. Home visits depend on the category more than on the city

What this means for you

1. Ultrasound, a pediatrician, an IV drip, and massage can realistically be called to your home: in these categories from a fifth to a third of businesses make visits
2. You can find a hairdresser for a home visit too, and the choice here is larger in numbers than in medicine: 771 businesses against 194 for ultrasound
3. A narrow-profile doctor is harder to expect at home. Fewer than a fifth of neurologists and endocrinologists make visits
4. In a business listing this is usually written as "home visit," so look for those words before you call

What this means for an owner

One business in ten in the country lists home visits. In most categories this is an empty shelf: neurologist 17%, podiatrist 15%, makeup artist 14%

The service needs no investment if you already work with your hands and carry your equipment with you. Writing it in the listing takes a minute, and a person searches for "at home" when they have no other choice and discuss the price second

Where the numbers come from

The open 2GIS directory, August 2026. We took active businesses in Kazakhstan in the categories of our directory that have a list of services: 40,896 listings. A business counted as making home visits if it listed the "Home visit" service. Shares by category are calculated from businesses of that category, by city from businesses of that city. The category table shows those with at least a hundred businesses, the city table those with at least two hundred
