Booking a manicure on a Sunday is routine, booking a doctor the same day is not. We compared six categories of the Kazakhstan directory on two measures: whether the business opens in the morning and whether it works on Sunday. The sample holds 17,689 schedules
In our sample, multi-specialty centers and diagnostics open before nine in the morning more often. Hair salons and nail studios more often list Sunday work

These are shares within each category. They do not mean that all businesses in one category follow the same schedule
Suppose a diagnostic center opens at 08:00. A client may want to check the appointment time in the evening. This is a hypothetical example, we did not measure the time of inquiries here
If the center is closed until Monday and nobody reads messages, an inquiry sent on Saturday may stay unanswered until the working week begins
Working on Sunday does not by itself show how fast a studio answers clients. For that you need data on messages and replies
532 schedules, and they look like neither medicine nor beauty. Only 22.9% open before nine in the morning, the lowest of those we counted. 89.3% work on Sunday, almost like hair salons. 24.2% close at 21:00 or later
A schedule cannot tell you when a person sends a request. The time of the inquiry and the time of the visit need to be studied separately
Compare a business with its own category. In this sample, multi-specialty centers and nail studios differ noticeably on both measures
Match the time of incoming requests with your schedule. Then check which inquiries went unanswered and how they ended. A working schedule alone is not enough to count lost appointments
How to cover these hours is a separate question. Some put an administrator on duty, some answer themselves between clients, some hand replies to requests over to ooon.ai. First it is worth seeing the hours themselves
The source is open listings of Kazakhstan businesses with a parsed schedule. We counted only active listings where the schedule is given and readable. The category was determined by the listing's rubric. Businesses without a schedule did not enter the sample. We did not measure how far its shares differ from the whole market
