How a 1000 m² clinic avoided tearing down walls — where to order a project in Bishkek

Part of the walls in JBN's first clinic were torn down because of approval requirements: the rooms had looked like simple partitions. The second, 1000 m² center avoided that fate — its layout was built together with the project from the start

Медицинский центр 1000 м² на три этажа

How it usually goes

Gulmira and her partner were opening a clinic and found space on the first floor of a residential building. Renovation started before the project: it seemed like the rooms were just partitions and finishing

The requirements surfaced at the approval stage. The procedure room needs separate ventilation, clean and dirty flows can't cross, the corridor needs to be wide enough for a stretcher. Some of the partitions had to be torn down

They started their second project with a design from day one. A thousand-square-meter building, three floors and a basement — the layout was built around the requirements from the outset

What people come to us with

People come with a space where renovation is already underway, asking what needs to be fixed. They also come with a plot of land for a standalone clinic or rehabilitation center building

If this sounds like you

  • A rehabilitation-wellness and office facility
  • over 2000 sq.m in Bishkek
  • Do you work with commercial properties?

How it works

The layout is built starting from medical-space requirements: ventilation, flow of people, evacuation routes, finishing. Only after that is the interior drawn up

That's how the 1000 m² building with a basement and three floors was put together: the set of rooms and the engineering systems were built into the project from the start, not fitted into a finished shell afterward

How to prepare

You need a list of rooms and equipment — even just as a list. It determines the ventilation, electrical wiring, and the size of the spaces

Most common questions

Will a space in a residential building work for a clinic?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on the set of rooms, ventilation, and a separate entrance — this is assessed for the specific space

Do you handle the approvals yourselves?

Yes. Documentation and approvals go together with the project, so there's no need to look for a separate contractor for that
